I've got a story to tell....

My first BLOG! YAY!

Well I am not really sure what my blog will consist of but I am fairly confident that I will figure it out..........

Well, let's start with Friday, May 22, 2009.  I went to a "Maritime" Celebration....it wasn't really a Maritime Celebration, it's just that May 22 is, in fact, Maritime day and the hosts of the party felt a theme was necessary for the get-together.  As a matter of fact, the only visible indications of a "theme" were a little stuffed lobster and some Pirates Booty snacks (which were very tasty). I unwisely partook in perhaps about 4 tablespoons of Haitian Rum and was sick to my stomach immediately thereafter and for the entire night (early morning) after leaving the party [just say NO to Haitian Rum]

Saturday, May 23, 2009 was a little better. I hung out with my sister (who I will not refer to as "Evil Twin"...oops), her bestie Jen, Jen's friend (bestie?) Chanceophek (sp?), and the wonderfullest nephew, Xavier.  While the aforementioned friends waited in line at the Marc Jacobs Accessorry store in the west village (I believe), Xavier and I sat on the stoop of a building checking out cute little dogs and big ones as well.  We also considered the clouds in the sky and wondered how long before we got caught in the rain (which didn't happen..)  Evil Twin, I mean my sister, bought me an adorable chain purse which I am now using as a wallet and Mr. Wonderful got a wallet. Oh, he's 10 by the by and is now sporting a Marc Jacobs wallet..I just hope he doesn't lose it.
We played a VERY fun game of charades while sitting in this cafe on West 11th (or 10th street)...Riviera Cafe....I didn't know how much fun charades could be.  Three silly adults (Chanceophek went home after Marc Jacobs) and one sillier 10yr old make for a very fun time of charades.
After walking around aimlessly for about another hour, sister and I and Xavier made our way to the train, Xavier bought a $3 ice cream cone, and we were then on our respective ways home...

Sunday, May 24, 2009.  I did laundry and went for a nice relaxing, stress relieving jog then came home, showered, watched a movie and fell asleep on the couch...

Monday, May 25, 2009. MEMORIAL DAY! My sister, Xavier and I went to visit our mutual bestie Mrs. Junette Albert Boyd (aka Mama Bear) and her little baby bears.  We watched an entertaining movie, ate spaghetti, then went to this (ghetto-ass) park to get some BBQ from her father-in-law.  Xavier tired himself out playing basketball while my sister and I took turns running after Phoenix and holding Baby P (Portlynn) while Junette intermittently peeked from behind her Chanel shades...good times were had..

Tuesday, May 26, 2009..BACK TO WORK :(
Not much to be said...I left my IPod home so that I could focus on Angles and Demons by Dan Brown. I read the book once before back in 2006 and found it very entertaining however as a converted Catholic (May 2008) I am reading the book with a different set of eyes (angry eyes a la Mr. Potato Head).   I miss my IPod though....Music really is life (kudos to Beres Hammond - who I still hope to see in July...must discuss with MFP)
I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast and a hazelnut coffee from Dunkin Donuts.  I am convinced that although DD should provide the same training, i.e. coffee preparing skills, to all franchisees who will then transfer those skills over to their employees, IT DOES NOT HAPPEN.  When I get coffee from 168th street and Amsterdam its DEElicious...When I get it from 58th and Broadway, it's NOT.  What is up with that? I suffer every morning I decide not to stop at DD uptown before getting on the train. I should not have to suffer so early in the morning. Isn't heading into work enough suffering. I nice cup of coffee is supposed to ease the pain and wake up the "happy place" in my mind..
I am actually still eating the bagel from this morning. I brought in a can of tuna, four slices of bread and a little jar of mayonnaise for lunch. 1. I am not really hungry at the moment, and 2. I don't think I brought in a can opener.
My plan for the evening is to go for a jog when I get home. Must keep the heart rate up...It is also good for relieving stress....
